No real news from Nesbitt press conf. Says we will not give up on it. Another day with nothing. He did mention the fact check article in the N&O. That's all for today.
What can we do now? Should we all just keep calling perdues office? I mean hourly, until she makes a different comment then send me a clean bill. It seems she could do something else, like hold them all for a vote on the matter. This woman needs to know how bad people are hurting NOW!!!
I am really starting to lose faith in our state. Of course this is part of the same government that is taking money out of pension funds to pay our debt. Our economy is done very soon.
Finally some are asking those questions that need to be asked. I like that some reporter pointed out that he seems to be the only one speaking out about this.

Tillis and Berger have complete control over this issue, including McComas's power.
Keep calling them, ask them the hard questions?
Ask them why you haven't been able to pay for_____?
Change will come soon enough people. The issue is not dead, but unfortunately caught in between party politics as a point of leverage. Continue to call and to e-mail, as we have all been doing. It is understandably a difficult time for all of us, but change is coming and we will get our benefits.
I have a little more respect for the press pool this time. They actually asked some more pressing questions. I wonder if a bill really is needed? If the states rate is at least 8.5 or greater than 6.5, then the EB is supposed to be in effect right? That would be crazy if someone finds out its all good and still in effect until the end of the federal funding! It kinda made me mad when he was questioned about speaking to the governor and he said he hadn't in 2 weeks. I truly hope all our efforts are paying off. They seem to be with the press at least.
