very good article. I sent the link to the republicans with an email.

Please read the article from the news and observer through the link below and think really long and hard at what you are doing to your voters who trusted you and elected you to serve them. There is no blame game, only truth and your responsibility to those you represent.

Man-made disaster for long-term unemployed - Other Views - NewsObserver.com

How much longer do you allow those that put their faith in you to suffer. The money is federally funded and sitting there and has nothing to do with the budget. Please vote on a standalone bill as soon as possible. Be the solution and not the problem.

That is a great article. Thanks for sharing EBNOW.

I sent a link to Berger & Tillis and asked what they planned to do.

It seems something positive could very well be about to happen with the EB's. I want to say thank you to all that have made your voices heard to your best ability. I love North Carolina and love calling it home because of the people here. We are not quitters!
I'm sure the politicians and the Governor will soon meet at a acceptable place and see that reinstating the benefits is not only the right thing to do but also the moral thing. We have to look after one another, keep each other lifted up in spirit as well.
Bless you all and keep thinking positive thoughts if you can. My Dad taught me long, long ago that negative thoughts are a total waste of time and energy and have no value whatsover. At 53 years of age, I can confirm he was correct.

Worrying is using your imagination to create something you don't want.

This is true. I don't think anybody in the national media has given more exposure to Unemployment issues than Ed Schultz.

But The Rachel Maddow Show and The Last Word With Lawrence O'Donnell are also sympathetic:
