Now I've heard it all. We should give away part of our country to another country because libbies don't like how the people who live there think. Got it.

Hmmm... can we apply that same reasoning to the people in the cities whose sole worth lies in supporting the libbies?

Not sure that Upstate NYC (reputed more conservative than the Greater NYC area) would really be a good fit with Quebec in that case...

Not all of Upstate NY is rural(or "conservative"), but I'll take your word that rural Quebec is doing better than rural Upstate NY.

Where, exactly, have the posters suggesting that NY be divided up and given to Canada been identified as "lobbies"? AFAIK, all the advocates of splitting the state up are embittered right wingers who can't sell their gun-toting, energy exploiting, bigotry-laced agenda to enough other New Yorkers to win state-wide elections.
