APRIL 1, 2012.

The Trout fishing season opened on the Salmon River at Pulaski & Altmar, NY on April 1, 2012. (Some photos posted).

There have been some fishermen (not crowds of fishermen) visiting from Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey on the river. The weather has been great (no snow nor ice anywhere) and the water flow quite reasonable.

Come try fishing the Salmon River now-April/May. There's no snow or ice to contend with; easy to get around. The river is not crowded with fishermen now, although there are some fishermen on the river from Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland, & Pennsylvania = plenty of space for everyone.
