The Upstate NY attitude against NYC became carved in stone when NYC nearly declared bankruptcy in 1975. Around that time Upstate opinion was very supportive of jettisoning NYC. Upstate opinion isn't much different today.

On a lighter side, we Upstate people know the Buffalo Bills are the *only* NY team given that the Jets/Giants play in NJ.

So do we shuffle off to Buffalo, or do the B&T schlep to Joisey?

An interesting part of this study is the rankings of Montana (29), Wyoming (21), Utah (20), Arizona (22) and New Mexico (37). These are some of the states that claim to be more open and less regulated - or maybe they want to be so they make all that noise.

Exactly and it makes you wonder about the criteria.

I'll state an opinion on this..........

I've been to several of those states over a 20 year period most recently briefly last week.

The left is really taking those states over. It doesn't take very many people to take over the cities out there and with the cities you control the state.

For every Montana cowboy with 6-shooter strapped on I saw 50 dope smoking hippies.

Liberals and freedom are two graphs that move in opposite directions. The left is the death of freedom.

Something a friend in Seattle told me is Washington is still cracking down on pot so many move to Idaho and Montana to be able to smoke in peace, its not legal just ignored.

Because hippies are more mobile and native born so few I would expect those states to swing wildly to the left in the next decade.

Being from NY were is mostly meth I was SHOCKED by how big a deal pot is in the West.
