The virus is just getting started with other cities. NYC is an example of what can happen with high population density and effects on minorities.

Don't think anywhere will be as bad as NYC

Unless I'm mistaken there is no where else with our population density, elevators, subway systems, and tight living quarters like we have here. All of these things combined did not bode well for us.

Without a vaccine, it's a matter of time for somebody to forget to wash hands and bring the virus into their home or building and kill many. Don't just look a few days numbers. The virus is still just getting started in many states because it travels slower there. Look at Italy, no matter how people are spinning it. They still have hundreds of death each day since Feb. Yet in the US, it took us less than 3 weeks to almost caught up to Italy. We should pass Italy's death rate in 2 weeks.

We will have theraputic pills approved in a week or two. Vaccine Next year.

Pills will help until then.

Also as I mentioned way back, Farrs law. Look it up. These pandemics always follow Farr's law. Steep up then steep drop off in numbers. Italy does not have the robust healthcare system we have in the US. Also Italy has a MUCH OLDER population that smokes. False equivalency for the most part.

I'm hoping things turn out much better quickly, but you also might want to cite some reliable sources to sort of show the efficacy of these things or how you're so certain on these things. Didn't you several weeks ago say something like the coronavirus is just a strain of influenza?

Italy does have a much older population.

Latest theory in the NY Times today is that the Italian problem is the vast majority of grandparents live at home with their children's families who brought the virus back to them

I can see that. Italian grandmas also do a lot of cheek kissing. Italy also was able to keep a lot of older people alive for very long pre-coronavirus which might mean that they had fairly good palliative care, but could also mean that they had a lot of people alive that were not in great physical condition.

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) - Governor Ducey issued four new executive orders in a press conference Tuesday, including travelers coming into Arizona from from Connecticut, New Jersey or New York must self-quarantine for 14 days.

The three states are hot spots for the coronavirus and the new order is meant to control the spread. At this point, it is unclear how or if this order will be enforced. Phoenix Sky Harbor said they are awaiting guidance from the Arizona Department of Health Services on the new executive order.

State officials will work with aviation employees to notify anyone arriving from New York, New Jersey or Connecticut to quarantine in place for 14 days or until Ducey’s stay-at-home order is lifted.

The order goes into effect at midnight Wednesday night, and the penalty for violating it is a Class 1 Misdemeanor with a fine of up to $2,500.

I don't know why people are so complacent. the mayor and governor were boasting about NY health system, and then cried for military help. In fact, the US health system ranks really low among industrial countries. People are getting subpar treatment here for the covid. Many people are turned away and die at home.
The death rate in the city is already close to 5%. and it is catching up with those countries in Europe

it is not just Italy. Look at UK, France, Belgium, Netherlands, with death rate over or close to 10%. Only Germany seems to be able to get the death rate in control
