The number of dogs is your greatest obstacle, even if you had 3. If you were upfront with a landlord and told him that you have 4 cats, you would also be denied.

With all due respect (and I'm a pit owner too), having a name like "Ruthless" and coming from a long line or actual fighting dogs does not help the matter. If you had your own property, you'd be free to raise your dogs *mostly* however you want, but you're going to have a real tough time finding a place willing to take you in under your current situation.

Your Pit comes from a long line of fighting dogs? Oh HELL naw! If you had any chance of finding a place before (which was slim to begin with) you'd have absolutely none with that pedigree.

Where you are now, are there no issues with having the dogs? Or is it that you own so it's not a problem.

Just tell the landlord that your favorite is named RUTHLESS. That should warm his heart.
(Are any othe others named KILLER, ASSASSIN, or DEATH or something equally cute?)

I live in Manhattan and though some buildings tend to be a lil prejudice towards the breed, there are tonsssss of people in Manhattan who own them. From finance professionals to hood peeps; I myself have one and Im not the only one in my building better yet the area. It all depends on the building I would say; but the only thing you have going against you is quantity.

Google Colby JAD2K....he initially started the breed standards in the 1800's. My last one was from the Colby Gypsy pedigree. He passed now I have another one from a pedigree that is known for that heritage, Boudreaux from my home state. The dogs are AKC standard. And that is why she doesnt want him to be fixed.
