Mutz....it's a .357. It takes 3 men and a boy to shoot the thing (that's just my opinion, not my hubby's). I have a little .22 that I use and it's just right, but that monster - well, ya better hang on!
I thought that was a .357. I used to own a ruger blackhawk model. 357 is nice sized. a 22 would do the job too. I'm kinda looking around for what they used to call a snake charmer, it's actually a sawed off .410 shotgun with a pistol grip. haven't seen any yet. I used to like the 357 I had when in alaska, it had knockdown power in case of back bears, yet it was lightweight enough to wear in a holster. my buddies used to pack around 45-70's, 44-40's and 30.06's which were much to cumbersome to lug around. I eventually owned a 30-30 marlin, lever action, it was a sweet rifle, mainly for protection in the alaska bush.
wondering? do they still hunt/have open season on rattlesnakes in texas? I watched a program years ago that showed people hunting them for profit, and not sport.

You sure go to a lot of trouble to impress someone who doesn't really care all that much. I bet it took you half a day to find all the photos you pirated to put on there. Was it really worth it?
Those are MY photos. And yes it was worth it just to prove you wrong.

Still wanna play or are you done?
Steve, I have no doubt these are your photos. They probably really impress your herpes friends. And I have no doubt on the hundreds of hours you have spent looking through our desert so you could take them.
But, I am NOT impressed! These are creatures we see on a regular basis. The hundreds of hours you have spent in this desert is about two weeks of my time living, working and playing here. They impress me no more than a Lambergini in Chicago. Something you may not see everyday, but not unusual either. You are right thought I can not call them all by their Latin names. But then again a pig by any other name is still a pig.

Rep points for you, Pipe.....!
He is a city-slicker who does this for a hobby, and he has no idea of the damage that rattlesnakes can do to pets and livestock. I bet if he lost some of his livelihood to these venomous snakes, his attitude might change...but then again, it probably wouldn't.
At least he has no control over how others protect their property, so it's really a non-issue. Rattlesnakes, scorpions, black widows, brown recluses...and any other venomous nasties anywhere on MY property....are going to be shot, stomped, pounded..or whatever it takes.
Wow. A harmless, beneficial snake murdered by a "superior" with a gun. How manly
Murder only applies to people. If you had ever lost a $1,000 worth of beef to one of them, or a $5,000 horse, you might reconsider "harmless."

I'm sure they are now, just like the pictures downloaded by a pervert are "his" now. Again, why would I care whose they are? Why would I care what the Latin names are? Why would I care that you spend countless hours every year on your two week vacation to discover something new? I also don't know the name of every star in the sky, every mushroom out there, every breed of corn or tobacco, or every component of any other esoteric discipline.

You are the one that keeps coming back for more. What part of we don't give a rip what you think don't you understand? You entered the conversation all hostile and throwing around loaded words like "murdered" when people told stories of their childhood or lifestyle. If you have a problem with New Mexicans or with the way country Texans and Okies live go play in the traffic somewhere.
Just out of curiosity, I wonder how many native plants and animals went extinct to build your city of Chicago? Those of us that "harvest" the bounty of God know enough to know that we are not going to push things to extinction. Unlike your asphalt jungle of concrete, steel, and brick. But you don't have to worry about finding a snake coiled up under your porch. You don't have to treat a dogs leg whose foot is about to rot off because of a snake bite. You have animal control to take care of things. Well, we have animal control too.....it is called a "shotgun" and it works really well.
But if you want to keep on playing, make sure your hands are totally clean before you try to tell me how dirty mine are.

All the pictures were from the same author: SF II. His name is Steve. I bet his last name starts with "F".
