Whomever gets killed by the speeding driver who would have lost their license if they hadn't been able to pay more for less points way back when loses.

I heard the same story from the prosecutor in my recent case. "I think you should take the Unsafe Driving deal, it's really easy for me to prove the radar was calibrated and you'll be guilty."

I said no thanks and made a date for trial. HOWEVER, I sent the prosecutor a discovery request and the next time I saw him he offered a non-moving violation with a $50 fine, $33 court costs, and NO POINTS!

Don't be afraid to fight your ticket, just make sure you arm yourself with the right information first. There are plenty of examples of people beating their traffic tickets in the face of overconfident police officers and prosecutors. Just make sure you get info about NEW JERSEY speeding tickets. Other States have different laws and different court procedures.
