This question is specifically to those who are familiar with/live in Cambridge Heights. I have read somewhere that the Express bus to NYC Port Authority stops at Barnes & Noble/ Rt 3 and Main St/Rt 3.
How do people living in Cambridge Heights go to these stops to catch the express? The one at B&N is about 20 minutes walk from the community. I don't suppose anyone would be walking 20+20 minutes in a day to add 40 minutes to their commute.
Someone can drop you and drive back (not practical)
If you notice the Express bus stop is on busy route 3, so any transport that drop you there has no return option but will have to drive to the next exit to get off route 3.
Sorry to break the news...but walking is the only option.
There's a bus on River Road (the #192/199). It might make a few extra stops, but it's more convenient. Google Transit lists it as being the quickest option.
Here is a northern NJ bus map. Just type in "Cambridge Heights, Nutley".
