Been on a movie kick the last week or two. Watched Forrest Gump last night for the zillionth time....LOVE IT... then watched Spies Like Us. I normally hate Chevy Chase, just about as much as I hate Will Ferrell....but that one's not so bad, Dan Akroyd made up for it.

Babel with Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett - This is a critically acclaimed film that was up for Best Picture in 2006.

All I can say is that just shows how WRONG critical acclaim can be............ I found it disjointed and far too preoccupied with itself to be entertaining. Apart from a few moments the film never managed to engage me fully.

Meh - another 90 minutes of my life "gone forever"...............ah well

Heard Nashville was supposed to be good. I'm about halfway through it, it isn't really interesting.

I could turn it off, and put something else on, but I might as well leave it as background, since the mail doesn't go out until tomorrow.

I have just returned from the movies where I saw "Made in Dagenham" , an excellent little English film about the Ford female Machinists who went on strike and basically brought on the law on equal pay for women in the UK in 1970. Well played, funny and relevent in this current climate of Conservative exploitation.
