Guess I am in the minority here, but I saw BlackSwan and did not like it at all. It was impossible to like even one of the characters. Clearly the main character was mentally ill, of course. It was simply a movie that was not my cup of tea. Glad others liked it tho.

Sure, they were far from flawless people, but I've always liked that. I've always rooted for the anti-heroes in movies and literature, and even for the villain! I like Natalie Portman's character because it's nuanced, which makes it more realistic IMO: she's deeply conflicted in the relationships with everyone around her and with herself, and her motivations are diverse, but she's not all-evil (or all-good).

I understand the points you made though.

It was very dark to me; went out to see the Moscow Ballet do the Nutcracker just to get Black Swan out of my head!

How To Train Your Dragon. Watched it for the second time and I think it ranks as number 1 for animated movies in my opinion. My old favorites were Finding Nemo and The Lion King. I think this surpasses both.

We saw Disney's Tangled last night. Amazing animation, along with two especially endearing animal characters, made this a truly entertaining movie. As an aside, the theatre was FULL of adults!
