Watched a few from TCM's 24 hour Labor day tribute to the Telluride Film Festival:

The Spirit of the Beehive (1973)
La Jette (1962)

Spoilers below...

The first was interesting, and I had seen bits and pieces of it but never all the way through. A couple of small girls watch Frankenstein, 1931 version, during a traveling movie show into their town, and set out to find him. La Jette is a short on a post WWIII Paris where the only salvation to mankind is time travel. The makers of 12 Monkeys credit this film as inspiration.

Just wrapped up with "Lone Survivor". Mark Wahlberg. Mmmm....some serious inaccuracies in a couple places. Chiefly the big Diamondback he runs into running from the Taliban. And a warning is mission brief about rattlers prior. Ummm....no rattlers in Afghanistan.

I appreciate the intent of this movie, and overall it was pretty good, but not in the same game as "Black hawk Down" . It did, however, have some redeeming features.

The Hunt for Red October(1990) was the last movie that I watched. I thought that it was a really good movie. When did you first see The Hunt For Red October?
