The last few movies we (wife and I) have watched have been "The Long Long Trailer" starring Lucille Ball and Dezi Arnez, it was funny in a goofy way.
"Black Panther" was another and I thought it was ok and not worthy of the heaps of praise it received. I feel that if it wasn't hyped for the "blackness" of it I think it would have been thrown into the bin with "green lantern" and a few other so so super hero movies.
And last night we watched "Crazy Rich Asians" which was also just ok.
Just finished "Bird Box" 10 minutes ago. I can't believe neither of us guessed that ending. So obvious, in retrospect -and we're both usually very good at figuring out endings - but that took us completely by surprise.
Always a good watch imo, I have seen it a few times.

I saw this many, many years ago when it first came out, and yes "it was funny in a goofy way", reminiscent of the times perhaps.

I saw this awhile back and thought it was a good film, very good actually.
I recently watched The Siege of Jadotville (2016) I thought it was a very good film, I enjoy historical and period films and this was very good.
According to IMDB...
Based on true events, this film is a shock to the system because what it reveals had been meticulously covered up for over 40 years. The film highlights one of the most important roles ever played by the Irish Defence Forces as United Nations peace keepers.
Thoroughly enjoyable, some offbeat moments, some heartwrenching. So many 'zombie' movies are just....meh...this one, I'd watch more than once. Not your typical "Americanized" ending.
We just watched a movie I never heard of, with actors we didn't know, called Swinger's Weekend. It didn't get good reviews but we found it very funny and really enjoyed it. It reminded me of the HBO limited series Camping, except it was a swinger's trip (one couple no one wanted to come is invited by husband to come). I felt like the way they behaved is really how people who have never done that before and weren't really sure they wanted to, would act.
