i love horror movies but i've never been scared by one
probably the hardest to look at for me because it was so gross was hostel, parts of the texas chainsaw remake with jessica biel saw3 and the hills have eyes but i still love it
"Scanners" scared the hell outta me. Back when I was younger scary "was what your imagiantion made happen" Sure now You can see someone getting slashed and torn apart, but imagine.. just seeing someone terrified -locked in a room then you see the door open, slowly, you cant see who the person is that opened the door, but from behind that person, you can see the face of the person in the room, and their face and terror as they see the person who opened the door, then the person slowly walks into that room, and you watch as the door slowly shuts....and you hear screaming... You know something bad is happpening..... but what?? whats happening???????? all you hear is screaming...
I think now-a-days.... so much of the work is done for you in the movie itself- for mere shock value; that the imagination is all but forgotten, and lets face it-- everyone who saw that door open and close---and heard the screaming--are all going to imagine something different happening..
What scares me? I still won't look under my bed... lol
when a stranger calls (have you checked the children?)
wrong turn
the first "poltergeist" scared the hell out of me,,,great special effects(at the time) the clown in the chair and under the bed,,was scarry as with the tree that grabbed the kid
Poltergeist scared me when it came out...it probably didn't help that I was a kid when I saw it. I'm pretty sure that movie contributed to my fear of clowns!
I haven't seen the movie now that I'm an adult; I have a feeling it would seem too cheesy now and I don't want to ruin that.
domergurl,
I saw Blair Witch twice, the first time with someone, the second time alone. I don't recommend seeing it by yourself. It's much scarier that way.
Fast forward 5 years, now I'm in a more stressful job and a bit prone to nightmares. They're very Blair Witchy.
