The original 1977 standalone movie will forever remain the best. I think Rogue One's pretty damned good. It's easily the most "serious" of the saga.

The remaining movies are not aging well. ROTJ has its moments, or "moment," but the Prequels are horrible.

I strongly disagree about the Star Wars movies made so far, but I would agree in regards to the animated series, those should have never been created!

By animated series, I hope you aren't talking about the CGI clone wars show, that's actually really good.

The last good Star Wars film was released in 1983. All the rest have been pretentious and dull, including Lucas’ butchering of his original trilogy.

"The Clone Wars" and "Rebels" contains some of the finest Star Wars stories produced for the screen, and some of the greatest fan favorite characters.

I remember watching an interview with Lucas back in the early 90s, he admitted there was not much to the story after Return of the Jedi...of course, they have went WELL BEYOND that now!

It shouldnt be a surprise to anyone though, if they think they can continue to make money from Star Wars...they WILL keep cranking out movies and story lines, probably for many many years to come!

I think once the next 2 movies are done and Rey, Kylo, Luke trilogy is done, they will go back to doing character spinoff movies or 'origins' type movies (I talked a guy the other day who is a huge star wars fan and he claimed he heard rumor of a movie about Jaba the Hutts character possibly being in the pipeline, starting at a young age, and showing how he came to be what he was! Im not sure if thats true, but I think it would make money for them nonetheless.

I loved the original trilogy , but I was also a child then so who knows how I would otherwise have felt about them. Prequels were meh, sequel trilogy has turned into a bit of an embarrassment. I thought TLJ was a puzzlingly bad movie to the degree where you wonder who the hell signed off on that concept and plot and hope they no longer work in movies. I did think Rogue One and even Solo werent all that bad tho.

I've been a STAR WARS fanatic since the summer of 1977. I have been disappointed in various STAR WARS films. I still look at most of the prequels and new trilogy with varying degrees of "meh" or treat them as a guilty pleasure.

But THE LAST JEDI? I genuinely, truly, honestly, cross-my-heart hated that movie. I saw it once in the theater and haven't been able to bring myself to rewatch it.

Nothing against the cast. I actually quite like the new cast. But the script was an utter travesty.

Force awakens was good because of the hype and nostalgia. I was hyped to see it.

As a stand alone movie, not bad.

Revenge of the Sith was pretty good. Overdramatic, but it had its moments.

The others weren't good and I've seen them all.

The Last Jedi was just bad. I've only seen it once, barely remember any of it, and it wasn't even that long ago.
