Thanks to an 11th-hour edit by a group of people, not Lucas himself.

Claymation is cool. "Wallace and Grommet" anyone?

Rebels is supposed to be in Ralph McQuarrie's style.

And Domino's is supposed to be pizza. But intention and execution are not the same thing.

Your loss, Mark.

They've been weaving in Rogue One in some interesting ways. The character Saw Gerrera made his first appearance in Clone Wars as a young man, and over the course of Rebels has been getting closer and closer to Forrest Whittaker's Rogue One appearance.

Don't get me wrong. I don't object to the style of the art. I love McQuarrie's art. I loved Tartovsky's CLONE WARS --- and it was even more stylized than the Disney versions.

My objection is to the quality of the style. The two Disney versions look like they're done on computers (which they are) on the cheap (which they are not). There is no fluidity or emotion. Everything is stiff and unnatural. It really does remind me of the puppets of Thunderbirds.

Which is inexcusable. Disney is the animation power house of the planet. STAR WARS is the most recognizable brand on Earth. The animation of these series should be shown some love. But I've seen cereal commercials with better animation.

The element of wanting the Jedi Order to end is a good premise. It's not like the Jedi were perfect with their collectivism and, in the case of those like Obi-wan, moral relativism (Obi-wan believed that believing in absolutes made you a Sith). Indeed, one could premise that Anakin restored balance to the Force as the Chosen One by destroying both the Jedi (minus Luke) and the Sith (Sidious as well as Darth Vader), leaving Luke open to create his whole new Jedi Order according to a better way. However, maybe he implemented too much of the old Order, and Kylo feel, and Luke realized that the flaw may be in the design of the Jedi rules, etc, themselves and so ran away, believing the Jedi were just as bad as the Sith and the Knights of Ren and Snoke.

Maybe Rei is the one that is supposed to fix things now.

Still, if they dump Anakin being the Chosen One to have Mary Sue Rei be the Chosen One, I'm gonna flip!

I'm getting pretty excited about it, to be honest. I'm wondering who Snoke is and what his story is.

I’m surprised Max Von Sydow played such a throw away part. I wonder if he had Force capabilities and will return as a force ghost. Also waiting for a Lando cameo in TLJ...I can only hope right?

I didn't like the animation, either.

But worth it.
