Anarchy's got it right in my book, one more that scared the poop out of me was Poltergeist. The devil or demon or whatever that popped out of the closet when the rope was pulled up still gives me nightmares.

One of the most polarizing movies ever. People either got it or they didn't. I'm one who agrees with you. Less is more and that was a creepy movie.

I was scared.
SPOILER:

*******
Especially at the end when the guy had to "go to the corner."
I appreciated all the improvisation. Shot in 8 days!
More creepiness:Sadly, one of the original film crew recently died.

Question Favorite Scarey Movie

Ok with Halloween being so close, I thought this was a perfect time to talk scarey movies. My all time favorite scarey movie would have to be the original Haunting, the black and white version. That one still scares me to this day. No blood and gore, just a good old fashioned scarey movie. The Shinning I also love. I thought the tv version was creepier than the movie version.
