My borther in Kansas called me up the other day and asked me what us Montanas were doing sending all that snow and cold down his way. I told him we had lots of extra snow so we thought they could use some to cover up all that ugy ice they get.

My sister asked me when I was going to finaly have a ride from this century. Why I asked when I have a 65 Mustang, a 69 Mustang Mach 1, a 70 Mustang and a 95 S 10 with a Corvette engine? I have no reason to. Wellll some sort of 4 wheel drive would be nice to have now that I'm back in Montana.

You do know that a CJ-7 Jeep frame will just about fit under that 65.

I have a 56 Crown Vic that has a jeep pickup chassis under it. 4 wheeling in style.

Default So happy to be in Montana. ~♥~

We are so close to Idaho where we are now that we shop mostly in Sandpoint. Every time we go there we are shocked at the difference in attitudes between the folks there and the folks just east of the Idaho state line. Sandpoint folks seem so unhappy with the frowns on seemingly everyone.
We frowned when we tried a Mexican eatery that we had never been to yet and were shocked. They had the gall to put a scoop of guacamole on my wife's plate that looked like gooey brown rotten tree bark mulch and the beans were very watery. They claimed that the avocados weren't ripe yet and I dressed them down and told them that they were past ripe, they were freaking rotten.
Good fishing and great scenery but there seems to be an apparent pall of depression over the population in general. We notice this every time we go to Idaho. The only smiling people we seem to notice in Sandpoint are the workers at Walmart ! Perhaps they are the few with jobs.

We'll be glad to get back over to the east side of the divide again to the land of missile silos, grain elevators and Hutterite colonies.

I always wanted to build a muscled out, high lifted 4x4 big-wheeled Ford Ranchero when I lived in Califoricatia for the sand dunes.
I may do that someday, I still have most of my machining tools and my mig welder but I doubt it. I have way too many other projects cooking in my head with higher priority. I'm thinking of films and photos these days.

I've actually built 3 vehicles out of bordem, stupidity, call it what you want.

Volkswagon Super Beetle, 352 Ford V-8 setting on top of a Willis Jeep Pickup chassis.

56 Crown Vic, 352 Ford V-8 setting on top of a Willis Jeep Pickup chassis.

1951 Dodge pickup, 1967 Chevy Vet Engine, but all on a 68 Roadrunner chassis.

The next project will be the truck I currently own. When the body gets too bad, I'll put a 55 Chevy Nomad body on it. Will be the only Nomad I've ever seen with a Cat engine.

The VW, and the Crown Vic are setting down in South Dakota. Both have blown engines. The Dodge I sold. The 55 Nomad is also setting in South Dakota and was wrecked. Front end was tore up, A-Frames are both shot. Body is pretty good. It's in my buddy's shed.
