Are there any more plans for Mardi gras park? I know that they were contemplating something similar to a flea market.

Previous plans had an elaborate colorful water dsiplay and a nautical looking pedestrian bridge that would connect it to the river.

It was going to me more like the French Market in New Orleans. There would be strict rules/permits/etc so that it would be nice and and held to a standard. I know they are still planning on doing it, but not sure on the timeline.
