Might be a miss now as the storm stays too far east.

Quick explanation of what this is showing.. It's showing the GFS model. Every frame is each update past several days. First note the shift west with the snow totals and eventually MN gets in on it... now note the last couple updates it shifted back east so MN is not in.

All depends on where the storm tracks.

It's been below temps for a while now and it is in the 30s plus snow tonight. I still have leaves to rake up - they just hauled 30 bags away this a.m.

This morning I went for a 4 mile hike through a spruce bog north of Duluth, I left the house at 1 am., and at the time I got to where I was going to turn around it was 4 am. The temp. was 14*F , the sky pitch black, and The Big Dipper and Orion were in the sky. It was so awesome, no wind, and quiet.

I asked the weather gods for a break this winter, but based on what I've seen thus far and what's coming next week it appears they've decided to collectively laugh in my face.

The time of the year when the city trucks have a dilemma of collecting leaves and plowing.

Awesome! That's one plus about cooler drier air is that the sky is so much clearer! I don't think I ever ran in that kind of cold.

Oh man, it's gonna be interesting next week! Arctic gates are opened.

Play this loop and look at those pinks and blues. That's pure Arctic air dropping in.
