We got a ton of rain in SW Minnesota with some drops of ice thrown on top tonight. Starting to freeze out so not good with all the standing water.

2 Hour Late start for our schools. Several districts in the metro have 2 hour late starts or are closed. First time in 6 years for our kids.

No travel is advised from the St. Cloud area north to the Park Rapids area and points east and west of those towns.

Storming pretty good in Duluth today, most every school is closed or some of them delayed two hours (2 hours?) anyway lots of closings today. Hundreds of people in Canal Park watching the 40-50mph winds crash the waves over the lighthouse and peir, lots of predestrians walking around rather than drive, snowboarding in the Central Hillside neighborhoods, Cross Country Skiing also and snoshoeing in Canal Park.

We love our winters and especially the big storms, making the most of them in anyway they can.

Storm is good enough to attract KARE 11 News crew into Canal Park

Wow! The long range forecast is looking pretty neat so far. Maybe some 60's a week from now.

I saw that too---mid 50's possible here. Several of the golf courses are shooting for a Mid March opening
