It's mid-January and we still haven't seen any significant snowfall, not to mention it is 50 degrees today. Where is the friggin' snow?

It actually felt "hot" when I got into my car this afternoon so I had to drive with the windows down. Interesting weather. Supposed to cool down to average after today though, and yes, I will be complaining about the cold. I've gotten way too spoiled

I just saw this on the National Weather service website from "This day in history":

1990: January heat wave. Twin Cities warms to 49 degrees.

1975: "Blizzard of the Century" begins also called the "Superbowl Blizzard" One of the worst Blizzards ever. Stranded people watched the Vikings lose the Superbowl on the 12th. The pressure hit a low of 28.62. This was the record until 1998.

I remember both of those winters---great sledding in '75

golfgal, your're little town in Alaska made the NBC National News this evening. What with all that snow and everything. Seems more is on the way, national guard has dispatched 80 troops to help out, seems this small town is accesible only by water and air? Referring to your post three above^
