The house is ugly and it's Weymouth. Those are the red flags I see.

I see some red flags with this listing. It seems you do also. You're willing to give the benefit of the doubt. I'm not.
Right, sometimes there is a harmless reason and sometimes there is a real problem but what I notice with your posting history is you always seem to assume the worst about anything. With this Weymouth property I see no evidence to assume a gas leak was ever present.

Furthermore, if the house no longer has any gas service why would a historical gas leak even be a concern worthy of a second thought? Without a current connection from the street gas can't even be turned on without re-piping the whole system and the inspections of all that new piping.

Dan, not sure why you're getting personal. Or I should say...trying to pick a fight.

We're just discussing a house. Relax.

It is. It's still ugly though and we know how snotty people are about towns around here. If that were in hingham it would be a million bucks easy. I'm still surprised Weymouth didn't gentrify more over the past 10 years or so

I don't know. But I wouldn't be comfortable with a house that had a gas leak.

For whatever reason, nobody wants this house after being on the market for 2 months.

I'm not trying to pick a fight. I try to keep an open mind on these various topics while you tend to zone in on some sort of problem about every subject that comes up on the forum. Like with this Weymouth house, why do you insist there had to be a gas leak in the past? There are various reasons a house may have had natural gas service discontinued or removed.

At first glance, it appears to be priced properly (or maybe low) for the location.

The issue here is possible problems that aren't being disclosed.
