Maybe they need to be like the folks buying overpriced condos in Southie who are overlooking the rat problem?! https://www.necn.com/news/local/dist...oston/3100640/

But it didn't used to be that way. Spring has always been the time to sell but I can remember people getting better deals in winter.

That's what I thought too but I don't think there are too many good deals to be had w/real estate here anymore. All overpriced housing and much of it needs tons of work and renos.

Exactly. It doesn't seem to matter when you list now as a seller. As a buyer will you will be screwed any time of year lol.

They've already fallen more than slightly. And they're sitting. They're going to fall a lot more.

You could get deals if there were the same amount of houses for sale now that there is in the spring, but there isn't.

I know a family who just moved from needham to marshfield. They paid a little over 1m for their house. They needed to be in the south shore area. Marshfield gets a lot of snobbery here but much of it is very nice.

I have a soft-spot for the town. I lived there when I was really young (pre-school/kindergarten age) - in the Green Harbor/Cedar Crest area. I probably wouldn't live in that specific area now, but Marshfield Hills and North Marshfield are quite nice and have some great areas. Plus the town has access to a lot of things, including multiple beaches. Several folks from my neighborhood have family homes/summer houses in town, as well.
