You (and others here) need to think very carefully about making statements like this. You thought last summer's civil unrest was bad?

Yes, you sure do sound well-reasoned and stable enough to make sane medical decisions that impact not only you but everyone around you.

I just love the irony in this post. In a mere 5 sentences, you've managed to accuse someone of being a keyboard warrior even though they've never so much as hinted at "being tough." Then immediately go on to imply not one, but two threats of violence... from behind a keyboard. Thanks for the chuckle.

It isn't really about being "tough". A group I worked with last year tried saying "we're tough SOB's" yeah. Here's a saying I heard that stayed with me years ago that I heard at a coffee shop. "Are you strong enough to be weak?". I'd argue most people that are in bad health or disabled didn't start that way. Sometimes I ask myself what would happen if I lost my sight, hearing or a limb. I grew up with some disabled relatives. What if you were hurt in a way that you didn't know when you'd get better. Now imagine it can spread..would you want to go out or not? It isn't about being "tough" it's reality.

I remember being worried people at my work were going to play tough and insist we keep on going in even though others were shutting down. Thankfully no one played tough!

Cleetus doesn't care but Southcoast Hospital Group (Charlton/Fall River, St Lukes/New Bedford, Tobey/Wareham) report a total of 3 available ICU beds. I'm using The New York Times data from today, something I'm pretty sure Cleetus doesn't read.

The Globe has a series of visualizations on the website that really highlight the effectiveness of the vaccine (as if we needed more evidence): https://www.bostonglobe.com/2021/08/...inated-places/

One of the very sad things about this is, if someone doesn't need an ICU bed for COVID, they may need it for something else. I wonder how many critical medical emergencies have not been able to be treated because there are no ICU beds available, in whatever state that may be.
