That’s not my fault they can’t work from home dude! Does that mean everyone should feel obligated to go into the office because of the folks that HAVe to go in ? Be thankful some people could work from home. They made it easier for those who can’t.

Oh yeah I’m sure there are plenty of people that it’s isn’t working for. My mom is a nurse on the admin side of things dealing with covid and she has been going into the office throughout all of this. She said many of her colleagues that are working from home now are doing way less.

I also have a cousin who is a radiologist who has been going into his office throughout all of this as well. He said he would like to work from home but his leadership won’t let him. I guess he could read mris and xrays from his computer at home. He is 57, has high blood pressure, 3 young kids and was nervous. However he is a dr making 400k at least. I found it hard to feel that bad for him.

No one said, nor implied, it is yours or anyone's "fault". And no one here is saying that anyone that doesn't have to, should. This is one of your many many many strawman arguments. People are just saying: think, acknowledge privilege, understand that you aren't the center of the universe and that you and you're family aren't the norm or the priority. In other words, empathy and awareness and compassion.

Generally those stumping for WFH the hardest are the least equipped to be productive way from the office.

No. You’re being ridiculous. You do realize that there are people out there or spouses out there who don’t have to work because they’re just that wealthy. Do you think they sit around saying wow i should really get a job because other people have to have one. I’m so privileged that I should feel guilty about it. I am tired of hearing about your perspective and how you think other people should feel. I don’t feel guilty that I am able to work from home because someone else can’t. I feel bad for them if they are upset about it but my mom happily goes to work every day. She could be at home but she goes in. Maybe the person at Walmart bagging groceries miserably continues to show up day after day because they have to and I’m sorry for their lot in life. But I’m not going to feel guilty because Im allowed to work from home and they are not. Just stop. Do you think the royal family feels guilty that they were born into wealth and royalty and you werent? I also don’t know where you’re getting that I think I’m the center of the universe. That’s hardly the case. And there actually are a lot of people who are able to work from home right now. It really isn’t that special or privileged.

Sources for this please. Just sounds like someone wanting to infer that those who want to work from home rather than commute an hour or so in are lazy. It’s actually called smart. Not lazy

I do worry when it will be be comfortable to ever have a large gathering again. Right now it feels like it will never be safe.
Best wishes, Madam Non Sequitur.

You literally can not read. Not once did I say or imply anything about "guilt".

Oh give me a break, that’s exactly what you’re implying. You seem pretty butt hurt at the people who are able to work from home when there are other people out there who have no choice but to get up and to to work and anyone who can wfh is supposed to recognize their privilege or something. It’s not that much of a privilege.
