It is an estimate when the cases will peak in your state and how many dead by August. I feel like 2K for MA is reasonable with a peak in cases around April 17th.
What's Vermont's secret?

1334 new cases and 24 new deaths (that is lower) in MA today.

I think there is a reporting issue (USA generally). It does seem like the weekends kind of slow down and the weekdays surge.

33, 33, 32, 38, 24 over the last 5 days. That’s encouraging in terms of stemming growth in deaths.

Youngest death in this group was in their 60's. Still primarily 70s and 80's.

It would be very valueable info if the cases could be broken down by towns with a sort of color coded heat map. That way we could see the hotspots that are forming and no where to avoid. Suffolk and Middlesex are the two top counties affected. I'm assuming mostly around Boston

Do you think that avoiding a county or town is the best way to go or most helpful? Not trying to be difficult but shouldn't one assume that everyone is infectious and possibly not symptomatic?

I assume most posting on this post know sweden is not on lockdown and even the bars are open. Someone called in to a radio show i listen to and stated portugal was on lockdown and had a 85 percent increase in cases while sweden is not on lockdown and had a lower increase.

You could question how effective is this lockdown. Sweden while free to do buisness they do have regulations. Maybe selective quarentine instead of buisnesses being shutdown is a way to go.

I read that they naturally socially distance themselves do to culture.

we shall see though they might need to lockdown like the rest of us.

That is the right direction. Hopefully it's not a weekend thing.

That or there is one entry point to Europe from Sweden and 100s of miles of borders between Spain and Portugal.

Also Sweden has about 33% more deaths than Portugal

ya 33 percent is a big percentage. the numbers probably go up and down everyday where one day the numbers dont seem bad and the next day they look a lot worse. obviously how densely populated a country or state is makes a huge difference. i would think you might not even need to worry if you live in north dakota.

The county with the most deaths in GAis in Southern GA not Atlanta.

Population density doesn’t matter much if you are going to church, bars, etc that are full.
