No it's way more complex than that, if you don't understand that by now then I'm not going to waste my breath explaining.

So when does alcohol takeout go into effect? That’s something I will definitely enjoy from some of my fave local restaurants

There is also some evidence of permanent lung damage if you get it. You may not die, but you could be forever compromised. It is not something to take lightly, no matter who you are.

There is no way to know if it is permanent until the person has lived their lives.

Long-lasting lesions on the lung have been detected on the survivors via chest x-ray. Awfully dismissive, unless you're speaking as a physician.

It's best not to speak about things you don't know much about.

Love, someone whose permanent lung damage was known the moment it happened because that's how acute lung damage works.

My lung damage has healed over the past decade thanks to a LOT of work, but it's still there and will never completely go away. The scarring is permanent, as is the asthma that it caused. I never had lung issues before the damage was caused (a reaction to one of my chemos) but it's really the only lasting implication of my very curable cancer. The only reason why I even was able to regain some of my lung function is because I was so young when it happened. Had I been my age now (early 30s), it likely wouldn't have been such a positive story. And it's positive only because I regained about half of the function I lost. Half!

Please... I have SUPER DUPER lung damage so I know best. Whatever. It is a fact you cannot know if you have life long lung damage until the life had been lived.
