So thankful that you both are home and feeling as well as can be expected. Take it slow and steady (like the tortoise)...remember he won the race....(((msina)))

It's a beautiful day, most all the snow is gone and the kittywillows are blooming.
Sounds like life is getting back to normal and that is good. Give your husband a few days and then get him up and about..rehab is good! All I wanted to do after my heart surgery was sleep, but I was up showering by myself..very stubborn...and walking the length of our house and back. We have a very LONG house..big ranch so it was easy to put on some miles. Tell him to not get impatient with himself. Healing takes time and you both have had a traumatic event so give yourselves time to heal from that as well. I wish you both the best and stay in touch with his progress. It has been just over a year for me since my heart surgery and I feel amazing!! Take care.

OMG I just had to answer this post. While I was recovering from my surgery, my pit bull, "Alice" laid in bed with me most of the time...and she too loves oranges but Mandarin oranges and will also drink the juice..LOL Aren't the pets such a comfort?? We were in the same situation, only I was gone and Daddy couldn't take her out with him when he would run errands,..,

Msina - I haven't had a chance to "come to Maine" (as I think of this board) for a while, but something was calling me here. Upon seeing this thread - now I know why.

I am soooo glad to read about the successful surgery and your DH's quick return to home. Moving is stressful in itself, but to have an emergency medical situation arise - WOW!

Please know that well wishes are being sent from the Hudson Valley of NY. As others have said, be sure to take care of yourself too. I'm sure your pup is glad to have DH home and will do his part in helping with DH's recovery.

~~~~~~~~~
P.S. I tell friends what a special group of people are here in this area of cyberspace. It's hard for them to fathom that the folks here can and do genuinely step up when needed. What a true community we have! <<<<hugs>>>> to all.
