Woke up this morning to the pleasant surprise of, not 1-3 inches, but rather 3-5 inches of snow for today.

Looks like some spots were getting some heavy snow rates coming at 1-2" per hr rates.

Storm in Quebec finally merged with a new coastal storm off Maine now near Nova Scotia.

Enjoy guys. I look forward to your winter pictures in the Photo thread.

In Gray at 2 PM we had 48 degrees and sunshine. Van repairs done, we headed up I-95 and the temps dropped from 48 to 30 by the time we got hm.It's a winter wonderland with 4 inches of fresh snow on the snow measuring board.

Our snow fall picture from last night. The whole back yard was gleaming !
I also love to photograph our Crimson King Maple tree in front. This tree is just breathtaking in the summertime, but in the winter snow, it has a different character.
And lastly- obviously- our birds have left for the winter and 'no one is home "

Looks like to us we got 4.6 inches of snow. Just enough to give that wonderful winter quiet feeling. Looks like it is going to be cold enough to keep it for Christmas. I hope so

Don't get too excited about snow for Christmas.......it will be bare ground by the time you wake up in Christmas morning with weather more fitting of a walk on the beach than a day of sledding and building snowmen.

Nice pics! Hope you sent in your report. I have a Crimson Maple too. Mine has maroon color leaves in Summer.
