I heard a story from a LIPA lineman who was working in Rockaways, up on a pole with a power tool. He loses power to his drill and comes to find his generator got lifted!! Right out from underneath his crew's noses!! I guess that slowed down the "getting the power back on" process for a bit......
Color me unimpressed. Sounds like a few people with wrecked homes had some things stolen (or washed out to sea, who knows), and everyone flipped the F out about it. I'm sure the number of people who had things stolen is > 0 but hardly a big problem, unless they're en mass just not reporting it to the police FOR SOME REASON:
