The lower number streets are mostly Black? Are you sure?
I'm sorry but where exactly did he say the area was mostly Black? It's possible to have a White neighborhood with a high crime rate (or relatively high compared to the rest of LI).

I was referring to when Razor123 stated that the area was mostly black.
It is written in bold in the reply that he quoted. Look at quoted content on post #4 on the first page. Here's a link to the post; https://www.city-data.com/forum/22838037-post4.html (^^ The words bolded are his response to that user)
But somebody that lived in the area later said that the area was mostly white. The link I posted from the 2010 US Census also shows that the area is mostly white.

4,5,6.7 are not bad streets . Who thought they are? they run to the water to the south of montauk highway. The only parts you have to avoid is anything between straight path , sunrise highway , and new highway.
The the areas south of sunrise are good and the small area between babylon town hall, farmers, and wellwood avenue. Also stay away from anything in lindenhurst mailing address but copiague schools.
Lindenhurst is a good place to live with decent schools. Not awesome schools but not horrible either.
i'm buying a house in lindenhurst, 15 minutes away from LIRR. this area is great. i'm moving from brooklyn & it's no comparison. brooklyn sucks, comparing to lindenhurst. lindenhurst is nice, quiet, has stores that are needed & most importantly, the population is just amazing. can't wait to move there.

Lindenhurst is brooklyn with trees and without sidewalks, so other posters have said.

For the 31st friggin time we were talking about the lower number streets off of Route 109 and behind the North Lindenhurst pool. lol
The area between straight path, sunrise, and new Hwy is pretty much what I meant by "near Zahn's Park." , except I wouldn't include that entire area.

Those "other posters" are outta their minds.
Population density
Lindenhurst 7,411 people square mile
Brooklyn 36,356 people square mile
Because after all, Brooklyn is covered with single family suburban houses, 50 to 75 foot wide properties, front lawns and driveways. And Lindenhurst is covered with rowhouses, brownstones and 6 to 10 story apartment buildings.
