It's interesting that Harry Reid is using CityCenter as a selling point in his political campaign against Sharron Angle. He criticizes her for saying that she'd have voted against its construction? Something like that. I find it amusing that he touts all the jobs it's created, when from what I can understand, those jobs are gone-with-the-wind for the most part. That and most people really don't seem to like the place much.

I think CC is missing a good ole fashion theme. Maybe it could have focused on a "futuristic" setting.

No need to turn this particular thread into a political thread but then again since you mentioned it, I won't be voting for white thrash Angle, two is more than enough with Gibbons and Ensign, no need for a third one to represent the State.

Yeah that's what I keep hearing. CC doesn't seem like a particularly steady launching point for one's argument on any level. ~shrug

So I started this thread 8 months ago proclaiming city center sucks and would be a failure. It looks like like I was right. I am glad as I sincerely hate that place.

"MGM Resorts reported $1.54 billion in revenue during the second quarter, up 3 percent from a year earlier. But its loss grew to $883.5 with a second major charge reflecting the plunging value of CityCenter"

"MGM Resorts wrote down the value of its half of CityCenter, which cost a total of $8.5 billion to build, after a quarterly analysis showed it was now worth $2.65 billion, Chief Financial Officer Dan D'Arrigo said."

and the best one of all...

"CityCenter hasn't shown an operating profit since opening December."

You are only wasting your time defending a bactracking nutcase who cannot even stand by her own convictions and everytime she opens her mouth she makes an even bigger fool of herself.

What is even funnier the Repukeblicans chose this looney to be their representative. Joke is on you and the rest of the Repukeblicans!

Seriously, get out of here with your political discussions as it has nothing to do with City Center. All you're going to do is get my thread closed.

mod interpose: yup! ...exactly, let's not get this thread into a general political discussion. Please keep the discussion focused on the City Center issue. Thanks. --'r
