Las Vegas=small town? Don't think so, not at about 1/2 million people...
MomMom, you are correct. Summerlin is not a suburb, though it has the suburban atmosphere since it's a highly residential area, 25 mins off the strip. By small town I was not referring to the population. Since you live in Vegas, I'm sure you understand that you can get from one side of town to another in a little over an hour... and hit desert on both sides.
Metro-Chicago and residential Summerlin are not a comparison. Sorry to knock your town MomMom, I know there are postives to living in Vegas. The original pupose of this thead was about the shooting in Summerlin (which occured a block away from my house).
