Washington State has no income tax like Nevada and I can tell you it really is nice. If you're making over $100k a year in income, paying the state of Arizona $7k a year is hard to justify all things created equal. It's why my choice between moving to PHX or LV is so difficult.

Nevada has nothing to do with allowing the deduction. The IRS allows you to deduct only the tax part of your registration, not the registration fee itself. I'm sure all states add a tax to the registration fee that can be deducted.

and with new construction comes new jobs

Default Not True

I use to live in Las Vegas and there was never a problem getting a job. Working in a casino required no ewxperience and their starting pay was $15.00 an hour.

That's the problem with people who reply to postings like this. They predict everything in future tense. I predict in 2015 your home value will increase by 100%.

We're talking now people.

LOL... by its very definition a prediction is in the "future tense" as you put it.

Unless you know someone who predicts the past?

So we are on predictions now? I predict, that there will be more unnecessary pessimistic and doom and gloom posts on these threads. I also predict that people don't seem to understand that economic booms don't continue indefinitely. I also predict people don't understand business cycles. I also predict that people do not understand the flaws of capitalism, and there are a few fundamental flaws. I also predict that people don't understand there is no perfect economic system. I also predict that people don't understand that you cannot please every person. I also predict many ignorant people posting jibberish. I also predict that many people think too short term. I also predict people don't really understand the long term beneifts and disadvantages of the world economy.

I also predict we are in or near recession...so what, big deal.

Be positive, I know it is hard, but it will all be over in 2, 5, or 10 years, whenever. Welcome to the business cycles!!!

Enjoy life people!

I observe Vegas_4u predicts too much.

I predict he will do so in the future...

How is that for money in the bank?

However, the 40,000 new rooms by 2011 represents a 32% increase, I will also predict visitor volume will not increase by 32% in the same period. Granted, many are of the condo/hotel type, and will sit empty for long periods.
