Default Hotels and Casinos on Las Vegas Strip would be demolished before 2030

TI, Circus Circus and Excalibur should all join forces to build a mega kid friendly resort.

The Excalibur is already a monstrosity and looked out of place as soon as the Bellagio etc hit its stride. Never been inside any of the rooms, but the casino itself seems cavernous. The Luxor is a little cheesy but the pyramid shape keeps it timeless. It might do better to drop the theme and do an inside remodel and just keep the shape. I would also predict a gentrification of the area around the stratosphere.

Nothing is going to be demoed to be an empty lot. There are now several developable lots on the strip already. So were demoed in anticipation of new properties that didn't get built because of the recession.

Until there's enough demand for new product to get the existing lots built out, you're not going to see any older propertied demoed. And I don't see all the empty spaced going to be used up any time soon (or even not so soon.)

Is the Excalibur still profitable? If so, it's probably not going anywhere. Even if it does look out of place.

I predict more renovations happening than demolitions.

Remodeling on set schedules is pretty much the rule for the big operators. If they aren't remodeling then I would expect those to be either sold or demo likely. Problem with most candidates is their fringe locations. Circus Circus and Riviera should be replaced, but nothing is going on where they are located. Maybe the New Sahara and the Fontainebleau if it ever opens can build some demand.

They quietly dropped the theme and remodeled awhile ago. There's nothing inside that is Egyption-themed other than the shape of the building itself (which is why the cafe is still called Pyramid Cafe).

A shame IMO.

I don't want to see Bill's go. That to me is an iconic hotel casino on the strip.
