My job may require me to go to the strip on new years eve after things have been blocked off down there. Is it still possible to reach the casino parking lots during this time or will this become a logistical nightmare?

It's going to be a nightmare. We plan to spend the entire New Year's Eve after 6pm at one casino to avoid the hassle.

Access to The Strip is doable - as long as you know your way around the back. If you're going anywhere near the "hot" part of The Strip (e.g., Paris/Bellagio/CityCenter, et al.) parking is problematic both in the hotel garages and on the back streets. As a bonus, public transportation will be overwhelmed.

I'll be there - watching from my condo balcony.

Frank Sinatra Drive, Dean Martin Drive, Industrial, and Paradise. Also I have taken the Monorail up and down the strip and although busy it still goes pretty quickly.

the backroads will become parking lots. Get there early and hang out in the casino of your choice!!!!!

Yeah, I thought I heard they were closing a lot of those streets too.

Many side streets are closed. Your best bet is to get to the strip before 5:30pm and stay there until after midnight.
