Whether I have to go down there and at what time at all depends on if someone hits a jackpot or not that night. They actually hit quite a bit more than people think.

Hmmm. I have never had any luck gambling on New Year's Eve.
Good to know that people do hit jackpots on that day.

Seems reasonable that your employer would spring for a room for that night in the event you need to report for duty.

I don't work in any particular casino. I visit any and all casinos in the area all the way up to tonopah in the event of a jackpot. And sadly, no they would not spring for that.

Ironic. We have had our differences but now I hope you have to come to work because I hit the jackpot.

You would think so, especially with the nature of the job and what you have to go through to get to everything. My cousin-in-law, who is a slot tech, always gets a free room on the strip during new years eve and day. Its more convenient for the casinos to have him ready at all times with quick easy access to most of the properties. He told me he rarely gets to enjoy the room anyway, that's how busy he is.

We should create a 'secret word' that if we ever hit a big jackpot, and the person comes with the big check, we can say "sassyfrass" and the person knows were from city-data.

Whenever I play Lions Share, and someone else is waiting to play I ask if there from City-data
so far no one has been.

I have done a few. Don't count on sidestreet entry...they all block up.

You can park well west and walk in.

Or park to the north and use the monorail. Probably the best bet for center strip.

We went last year. Parked at the Planet Hollywood parking lot and there was plenty of room. Go at least 7 or earlier.

Is the lot behind the Sahara still open and can you still catch the monorail there? This is an even dumber dumb question coming from a local, but does the monorail run 24 hours? It does, doesn't it?
