Mountainbiking, have to agree. The Dunes sign was the coolest casino sign ever!

It's a shame Las Vegas misses the opportunity to preserve some of it's own history.

There'll never be a new Circus Circus. If the current one got torn down, it would be rebuilt as something else.

I was always a fan of the cheesy. I've struggled with no luck for a while now to find a picture of the Nile River ride that used to be in the Luxor when it first opened. There has to be at least one person out there with a picture of it!! I am sad to see some of the cheesiness gone, like King Tut's Tomb at the Luxor, the whole Emerald City thing at MGM, the treasure island feel at Treasure Island. And I feel like the last time I was in New York New York some of it's theming in the casino area had been lessened. I feel like I remember trees and a very Central Park feel, much of which was gone the last time I was there. Hopefully I'm remember that right. I suppose this is because people, like me, would casino hop to see all the sights. If all the hotels are basically the same, no reason to leave your casino!

Still, I agree with other posts that until things get built up along the strip again, I don't see much demo going on. More renovation like they did with the Tropicana. I think if the north end starts to get built up and come alive again, I can see Rivera and Circus Circus being demoed, but it's a long way of.

With Paris, Venice, Lago de Como, and Rome all there already, I think they have that covered.

Maybe. I think I read it only lasted a year or two before they removed it. They made the dumb mistake of thinking guests would like to get to their room via water ride.
