If the store doesn't enforce their rules, they shouldn't bother having them.
The stores (and markets and restaurants) are scared excrementless that they're going to ask the wrong person to leave (an epileptic with a seizure sensing dog, for instance) and get sued.

The service animal fakers know this and already have their indignant speech honed to a sharp edge. Every single day I see service animal fakers at work. We all know damned well that the little chihuahua isn't a service animal. But nobody is going to say anything for fear of lawsuit.

Surely the person with the allergic reaction trumps the person who cannot bear to be separated from their little dog. (It's almost always "purse dogs" that are brought into grocery stores and restaurants.)

With that said people have allergies some so bad they must carry a eppi pen to save there live, some people are afraid of dogs, so what gives you a dog owner the right to make it not possible for them to shop...oh I have heard it all <MY DOG WOULD NEVER BITE> WRONG DOGS SMELL FEAR WHICH MAKES THEM FEARFUL AND THEY WILL BITE!!!!!! AS IT IS THE STORES RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP SHOPPERS SAFE, IT IS THE STORE THE ATTORNEY WILL GO AFTER NOT THE LAME ASS DOG OWNER!

LASTLY DO I BRING MY PET BOA IN JUST BECAUSE I HAVE ONE? DO I BRING MY PET BOBCAT IN JUST BECAUSE I HAVE ONE OR TELL YOU ITS MY COMPANION!!!!!!!!!

Companion dog is just another name for a pet dog, are not permitted in public places as are service dogs.

IF ITS TO HOT IN THE CAR THEN LEAVE YOUR PET AT HOME!!!!!!!

YES PLEASE BRING YOUR PET BOA INTO THE STORE!!!! IT WOULD BE FUNNY!!!!

My wife works at Lowe's and she told me people bring pets into the store all the time. They don't question them nor do they care!!!

The pet thing is getting out of control, and I love dogs and cats. I always see them all of the time at Lowes, Home Depot, Bass Pro Shops(don't know what their policy is). Most recently I have seen people trying to bring them into Costco(turned away), Target, and Albertsons! At Albertsons, the dog owner had the nerve to chew out the cashier about bringing her dog in the store. I don't thnk I should have to be on the look out for puddles or piles when I am shopping in stores, Petco much different story! A few times, I have seen dogs in baby strollers, not the pet ones!

Food stores have to follow heath department rules. I don't know out NV or Clark County, but here in NYC, the health department rules don't allow dogs in restaurants and food stores (excepting legitimate service dogs.) And I can't remember seeing anyone actively violating this. Given that they can get fined for violating this, I'm pretty sure those businesses actually enforce those rules.

Businesses do not get fined. I work at such a place, remember? And businesses don't ask the fakers to leave. Nobody enforces these rules. And the government agencies who should be overseeing this aren't.

If you don't know about NV or Clark County, why are you commenting about it?

I have seen dogs in grocery stores 2 or 3 times recently and I was very surprised no one was complaining. I worked on the strip for 7 years and never saw a dog in the casino. Now I see them every time I go.

I am certaintly not complaining though. I am someone who takes my dogs almost everywhere they can go. I take them in stores and we go to restaurants that have patios so we can take them with us.

I was at the airport a few nights ago in Terminal 3 arrival area and this woman brought her pet dog with her on a leash. No it is not a service dog.

For all of those who question how people can take their dogs into Bass Pro Shops, please take a look at the sign at the front entrance (inside the store). It asks people to bring their dogs inside rather than leave them in the car and possibly injure them due to heat. So, rather than not caring what people do with their pets, or worrying about whether the animals are service or therapy dogs, they are actively suggesting that people bring their animals into the store to keep them healthy. If you don't like their policy, please tell them or don't frequent the store.

Small dogs or cats that are small enough to be stowed under the seat in a carrier are allowed on most airline flights.

She was not flying out nor the pet dog in a kennel. She was picking up someone and inside T3 arrival area. Do you see the heavy set lady with the dog?
