So what's up with concelaed pistol laws. I know you can get a permit if you are not a gangster how about out of state permits when visiting?
I also noticed that if you carry a revolver the permit is for any of your revolvers, but if you carry a semi auto it's for an individual gun, wtf? Am I misinformed?

Don't know too much about gun laws, but my advice would be to not go anywhere in Las Vegas where you would need a gun.

If you must, get 1 permit for your favorite gun. It's all you should need.

You can get a nonresident permit. Also, Nevada has reciprocity with a number of other states.

It used to be that way. For permits issued after July 1st (IIRC - not positive on the date), qualifying with any revolver allows you to carry any revolver, and qualifying with any semi-auto allows you to carry any semi-auto.

Yeah, Lord knows that violent crime only happens when you most expect it.

It's also a known fact that firearms never fail so backup guns are definitely not necessary. Ask any member of the military or law enforcement communities.

Unfortunately NV does not honor WA permits.

Why even get a ccw on a revolver. More is better in my book and unless thingsbhave drastically changed since I last checked ill take 12+ or 17 in a 9mm. When the zombies come then ill bust out the AR with its 30 rounds.

I want to get my non-resident CCW in vegas. Personally, I never fired a gun but I would think getting a revolver CCW permit will give you the extra option of owning one if you ever decide on it. Might as well just get it to have it.

Generally speaking, a revolver is as reliable as a hammer. You don't have to worry about racking a slide, fumbling with a safety, or experiencing a casing stovepipe. You just point and shoot - a desirable quality in a high stress situation.

I'll take your word for it, it's been probably a decade since I've even picked up a revolver. As far as everything else you said, I'm not some hardcore fanboy, but it's why I love glocks. No safety, point and shoot. Ive had two misfires in a few cases of ammo, maybe ~4000 rounds and that was when I first got the gun and was getting used to it. Pull the trigger like you mean it and you wont have any problems.

I also really like HKs and Sigs, but the Glock is what lives in the night stand drawer.
