Well, they came early & all the stations looked like slop, spills everywhere food not refilled etc.. I also agree with who ever said speaking Spanish &/or being nice to the cooks helps. They are employees yet a lot of people disrespect them.
I dont speak espanol personally, but I do always try to be nice to the cooks at the Cosmopolitan EDR, they're all very nice people there, except for a couple cashiers whose attitudes stink something like a skunk

You have cashiers in the EDR? The EDR isn't free? Or are they trying to upsell you stuff?

We only have an $8 spending limit in the EDR, pretty much everybody goes over, and if you dont have your ID badge, you MUST pay cash or debit at the register

I always end up going $1 or $2 over

What a crock. Cosmo is flat-out gouging their employees. No wonder nobody's happy over there.

I can take whatever I want at the EDR. Fill my plate wide and high with inexpensive food. And then I can turn around, swipe my badge, and do it again, and again.

We can eat three times per shift if we want -- before our shift, during our break and after our shift. No. Charge. Ever.

My strategy for the EDR is simple -- cook as much of my own food as possible. If there's bacon, I make a BLT. If there's baked chicken (almost always safe), I pull the meat off, mix it with a little Caesar dressing, and parm, and make a chicken Caesar sandwich.

I make a LOT of sandwiches in the EDR. It's cut down on the EDR Dash. Also, I think I eat better food that way. But damn I miss my salads.

That is something else. So, how does it work by weight or each item has a price? Any other casinos doing that?

A lawsuit isn't going to do anything. The casino does everything they can to ensure that health codes are followed. But some cooks continue to be [censored] pigs.
So it will take something major like someone who dies from food poisoning? That is sad!

Each item has a price. There are also meal options

EX
Roast Beef Sandwich and Chips (what I usually get) $5.50
Cheeseburger and Fries $6.50 (really tasty)
Slice of Pizza $2.00 (gone way downhill)
Waffle (which are delicious actually) $3.50
Eggs, Sausage, Hashbrowns $4.50 (so-so)

I think the food itself isnt bad. I have pinpointed its the condiments that sit out all day on the salad bar. Even though they are on ice, the open air makes them nasty, especially the Chipotle Mayo which I have stopped eating

The fruit can be pretty bad as well. I have cut that out and am now buying fresh fruit from Smith's instead.

The grab and go items can be a toss up depending on how long they've been sitting out
