Just curious...... you know those ATM/ Ticket redemption machines all over the Casino floor? Like every 2 feet? How much money will it pay out without you having to go wait by the casino cage? If you win $1,100 on one ticket will it give it to you? Is there a cut off?
TIA

Unfortunately, it's never been a "problem" for me in Las Vegas, except once when I won a $2,000 hand paid jackpot, but in Missouri the limit - at least at the casinos I go to - is $999.99.

If the ticket exceeds the machine's limit, it just spits it back out and tells you to go to the cashier.

For any win (or single ticket) of $1,200 or more you are required to fill out an IRS tax form for income. If you were allowed to cash out at the ticket redemption machine this wouldn't happen

I believe the payout has to be 600 times the wagered amount I have hit in the high slot areas for more than $1,200.00 and got a ticket I was playing a $5.00 machine. I did have to take it to the cashiers window the machine would not due one over $1,000.00.

Frankly, I wouldn't want to get that much cash out of the redemption. I'd prefer to go to the cashier to get it counted out for me. They'll also put it in an envelope for you if you ask.
