Before or after riding on the roller coaster?

If you collect casino memorabilia, now is the time to get it. Sahara souvenirs, chips, etc. And take a few pictures, too.

One of the best low cost poker tournaments in LV. Bigger turnout than almost any other place in town at 7 & 11PM.

I was at Sahara a few days ago. The 'House of Lords' steakhouse is all together average. I had a $33 steak & a $7 slice of chocolate cake. The cake was huge. Also, the water there tasted pretty good.

Sahara has 5x odds in Craps so I usually shoot dice there since I live within walking distance of the place. The north end of the strip is about to get even emptier >_>

They may be low cost, but more than 1/3 of the $45 entry cost goes to the house, if I recall correctly. That's called a sucker's tourney. Now with that said, maybe the field is really weak since only a sucker would play a tourney with 33%+ rake. Heh.

In any event, you generally have to get over $100 in buy-in before the house is willing to run the tourney without raking the thing to death. Any rake over 20% is probably very very hard to beat long-term, even if the fields are fairly weak.

Venetian has some relatively low-rake (10-15%) tourneys with good turnout, though.
