We are on the KANSAS CITY forum. The Kansas City forum is not for Missouri people only. In case you haven't noticed, Kansas City is a metropolitan area that includes two Kansas counties. So we have every right to participate in the Kansas City forum.

Kansas City, Missouri holds little interest for me, for your information, but I'm not constantly bashing it like some of you bash Johnson County and Kansas. I hate urban areas and other than occasionally going to the Plaza to eat (mainly because there is no Houston's over here anymore) or going to a Royals or Chiefs game once in a blue moon (haven't gone to either for at least a couple of years), I really don't have any reason to go to Missouri. Johnson County is always full of cars with Missouri tags though. I think they like it better over here. I often fantasize about how much less traffic there would be if all the Missouri cars stayed in Missouri. And no, it's not just for work that they come here. They are at the theaters, restaurants, shopping centers, parks, pools and everywhere else. If Missouri is so great, why don't you guys stay over there?
Oh my.I see boatloads JO Kansas plates in MO all the time. We have stuff you don't have, and you have stuff we don't have. Wow. People are willing to make the trip over the state line to do something. Maybe you haven't noticed, but east KC is not representative of Jackson County as a whole as much as you would like for it to be, nor is the entire state of Missouri just a mirror image of Kansas City. Yet you get mad at KCMO for saying what's on his mind

Just giving back the kind of stuff he gives. I usually don't say anything other than I don't care for urban areas/Jackson County. But it's not just east Kansas City that is run down. There is a lot of Jackson County that is run down.

It's mostly just east KC, along with parts of northern Independence. Little else is what I would call run down.
