What well known Independence resident helped found "The Gleam", William Chrisman High School's yearbook?

Truman was supposed to have been involved, however Charlie Ross, Truman's White House Press Secretary, was the editor. The inspiration behind the Gleam was Mr. Palmer of Palmer Junior High School fame.

Let’s hear more from the Independence Trivia game.

In the meantime, here is one that may or may not be tough.

We all know, I think, that Donald Duck grew up in Independence calling himself Clarence Nash.

What famous, later renamed, cat did he also initially play?

Why would that be cheating? Research, research, research, right?

Eh, Jasper's nemesis was actually Jinx the mouse--he became Jerry as fast as Jasper became Tom.

Jasper (and Tom), by the way, was owned by a wealthy black single woman named Mammy Two-Shoes up until the mid fifties or so when he was given a white owner.

"Cheating" was just a weak attempt to evoke a smile/grin/LOL . . .Don't take it seriously, I know you do it too

Happy 4th of July

Mike Rowe of "Dirty Jobs" fame just recently (June 30) visited Leila's Hair Musuem on Noland Road with a camera crew from CNN to learn a few tricks about making things out of human hair.

I drove to the museum for a look see on one occasion but the place was closed. Arrived too early or too late, cannot recall but due to my time constraints, I never made it back.
