The original was razed to make room for the RLDS Auditorium.

Tomorrow is the kickoff for summer tourism in Independence, with lots of activities. If you are local drop in at the square or any of the historic sites for lots of special events.

If you are familiar with Independence, here is something very interesting. Study the map and it should pop right out at you.

To gain a little perspective, the Stone Church sitting on Electric Avenue is in the lower right.

Well, it definitely was not a typo.


If it was done in error, it would have been a Leroyo, instead. (chortle)

I looked on 1907, 1898, and 1892 Sanborns and they did not go that far west.

This is in reference to renewing the city contract with the Chamber of Commerce. Sounds like some folks including Mr Dougherty, the city council member, are not so fond of the Santa Cali Gon Festival.
