It all depends on the field you want to get into. Jacksonville is good for the entry level positions and break-fix operations. If you want to get Sec, Project, etc. You got to leave Jacksonville, the jobs are here but not many.

I don't buy it either. It seems like IT here is fine for the size of population but #9 in the nation? It's Modis though so it's no surprise they see their home state and city through rose-colored glasses.

Took the words right out of my mouth! I work in InfoSec and am also looking at getting into PM and management. I search for security jobs and Tampa has approximately 4x as many InfoSec related job listings at any given time I have searched. In general with regards to IT, Tampa has about 2.5x times as many listings at any time. Needless to say when I am done with my Bachelors degree in December I am also applying elsewhere.
