Like many others, if we could afford it, we'd have two homes: 1 here in the winter and 1 in the Parker, Colorado area in the summer. Even though I'm sort of complaining about the cold mornings we are having now, I still prefer Florida winters to Colorado ones, but Colorado summers are really, really nice!
I'm with you, LoveBoating. I would love to have a place here and a place in Colorado. We talk about Colorado a LOT!

I guess the difference here is you can be freezing at 6AM and by noon you can be tanning on the beach.

Yes you can, and be freezing again that night. It happens here just not too often. Thank God! perfect recipe for a cold/sinus infection if you ask me. Kind of like going in and out of an air conditioned bulding all day to a broiling sun.

Yep sure is! When I got to the new place in Avondale it was 44 degrees F there at 7 AM, and at 8 AM at the Metro Diner it was 46 degrees F in San Marco.

42 degrees is still too dang cold for us! Yesterday it did start warming up by 11AM. Went to Goodby's Landing to check the water and see how cold it was. To me it was cold, but wife didn't think it was that cold. When the time comes for her to step in the water for launching, I want to see if she still thinks the water isn't that cold! The weather/tide has to be just right for us to go on the water though.

Temp today (Sunday 11/13) is suppose to hover around the 77 degree mark. Dang, I got the 24 hr stomach flu from someone yesterday. I feel better today and would have loved to go out on the river, but can't take a chance after yesterdays stomach aches. Oh well, next weekend is suppose to be around 75.........at least that's what is forecasted right now. Because the days are shorter now and the high temp doesn't last that long, we don't stay out on the water very long this time of year.

Generally in the winter the water temp is going to be higher than the air temp, it's when she gets out of the water into the cooler air that she is going to feel the pins n needles sensation on her wet legs.
